I had a NON COLLECTIBLE period end with the IRS.  Please understand, I only got into NON COLLECTIBLE STATUS after having 90% of my paycheck garnished, getting evicted from my apartment, and selling my car.  I contacted endless people at the IRS, all having the ability to change terms and requirements of my POSSIBLE non collectible status - telling me different things.  I finally went to the IRS local office and asked why are they making me homeless?  A supervisor finally put the debt on hold, and put my nearly $100K debt into non-collectible status for 2 years.  The case was now on the back burner, and I had a lousy credit tax lien.
